7 Reasons to Choose Prime40
As Your Personal Trainer in Melbourne
As your team of fitness experts specialising in helping those in their 40’s gain strength, boost daily energy, rehab old injuries and improve sleep, we’re here to help you get back on track with your health.
Specialists in Melbourne over 40’s fitness
Staying fit in your 40’s isn’t easy. We know – because we’re in our 40’s too. The body doesn’t move like it used to. You’re starting to get out of breath performing life’s small tasks. And you’re walking, moving and accepting pain as a part of your everyday life. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Every program we prescribe is intelligently designed to be efficient, yet effective, meaning you’ll still get a great workout, without spending your life in the gym. We also offer our unique 2-hour ‘life happens’ cancellation policy which helps with those last-minute emergencies – because we know, life happens.
Long term Health – Not Just a Quick Fix
True health isn’t just about how you look, it’s about how you feel too. We want to help you feel strong, feel capable, feel independent – so you can have the confidence within to do whatever you choose. This cannot be achieved with an 8 or 12-week challenge. It must come from the repetition, practice, and commitment to learning the skill of training. Which is exactly what we teach our clients – and the very reason why they’re able to make changes for good – and why you will too. Because shifting your behaviour is a lifelong commitment.
Small Team – Big Results
We purposely keep our community, culture and core team tight, so you know you’re getting the absolute best quality, within an environment that knows your name, exercise preferences, injury history and future goals. All semi-private sessions are set to a maximum of 4 people, with no shared equipment or space during your session. We stay in close contact with our clients, and also provide ongoing support between sessions so you know the answer to any question is just one call away.
Safe and Hygienic – a Pivotal Priority
Your safety both inside, and outside, the studio is our priority. We use and maintain the highest standards of hygiene inside our premises. This includes: wiping down all equipment both prior and post-use with the latest Covid-19 approved, antibacterial wipes, mandatory towel use for all clientele, and monthly deep cleaning via an external cleaning company; who come in once a month to sanitise the studio top to toe. No unfriendly smells or germs lingering here. Because your health matters.
Our Focus is on Quality of Life
While the pharmaceutical world is obsessed with offering you a pill for every ill, we know this is not healthy long term. We’re here to give your body what it really needs to heal – movement. We prescribe exercises designed to boost strength, increase energy, reduce joint inflammation, eliminate back pain, and maximise recovery, so you can ultimately move in the way you were intended. When done right, this produces both immediate and long term benefits not just to your health, but to your entire life too.
Convenient Location for those living/working in the city
If you work or live in the city, we’ve got you covered. Located just an 11-minute walk from the centre of Burke street mall, less than 5 from Melbourne University, and less than 3 minutes from Lygon street’s shopping precinct. With in house bathrooms and change room facilities, you can drop in both before and after work. Our goal is to make exercise a part of your life, not a hindrance.
We’re also completely accessible from a selection of Melbourne’s trams; 1, 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67, 72 at the “Lincoln Square/Swanston Street” stop, as well as ample selection of 2-hour street parking just a 1 minutes walk from the studio.
Outcome-Based Training
It’s become popular these days to pull together 45 minutes of random ‘high intensity’ exercises, work up a sweat and call it a workout. This is not going to help you get lean, strong or self-reliant. What will help, is consistently, and progressively, working towards a specific outcome. An outcome-based on your body, your goals, your training history, and your preferred lifestyle. Together, we set goals, measure your progress monthly, and adjust as necessary. This is how training should be – and one of the key reasons why our clients get the results they do.

Karoline
Hi, I’m Karoline. I’ve been a Personal Trainer and Competition Coach since 2003, with a focus on helping people get stronger – physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Over the years, I’ve earned 12 national and international titles in Figure Shaping, Fitness, and Sports – including becoming the first Australian to receive a WNBF World Figure Pro Card. In 2018, I was honoured to be named Champion Trainer for Over 40s through ICN.
My journey started with a lifelong love of sport and movement. But like many people, I’ve had seasons where I felt stuck and out of control.
Training became my anchor – a space where I could take ownership through consistency, effort, and mindset.
Competing pushed me beyond my comfort zone and showed me that growth isn’t just physical – it’s personal. The process always meant more to me than the podium.
In 2020, at age 48, I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer that had already metastasised. The prognosis was bleak. But I truly believe that years of physical training and mental conditioning gave me the resilience to face it – and ultimately overcome it.
Today, my passion is helping others discover that same strength – physically, mentally, and emotionally.
